Join Us on an Amazing Expedition Cruise to South Georgia Islands

A once-in-a-lifetime journey

A unique opportunity to explore the previously inaccessible paradise of Antarctica. Come aboard our exclusive ship and discover the hidden wonders, millions of king penguins, giant elephant seals during mating season, an abundance of whales, and various bird species.

The South Georgia Islands

One of the most isolated and beautiful places on earth, yet with the largest concentration of wildlife. Also known as “the Galápagos of Antarctica”, the only access is via ship. The Islands were first discovered in 1675, with Captain Cook being the first to set foot in 1775. Today, only 25 people live there, and it is the burial place of the legendary Sir Ernest Shackleton. A piece of heaven on earth that everyone dreams of visiting, but only a select few do.

The Uniqueness of the Voyage

Boutique Ship

Our ship is new (2019), fast (15 knots), very steady (powerful stabilizers), and especially luxurious with a restaurant and bars, sauna, gym, lectures lounge, library, and open observation deck, and best of all, most cabins have a private balcony

Long stays at the beaches

The private ship is for our exclusive use. We have added extra beach stops. Since the beaches are restricted to 100 visitors at a time, we are not limited in the same way as the big ships are. Thanks to the small size of our ship (up to 96 passengers), we can spend as much time as we want there.

The most efficient route

We will spend the minimum of time sailing in order to maximize our time in the field. We will begin and end the journey in the Falkland Islands, home of the nearest airport, and our ship is particularly fast to quickly cover the distance.

The Journey from Our Perspective

Our Story:

Phototeva

We are one of the world’s leading polar expedition experts, guiding hundreds of travelers every year to the rare sights of our world. It's our mission to take you to the most interesting and unique places - especially the secret spots known only by the locals.

We always sail in ships that we lease privately, thereby providing our travelers with a unique, powerful and intimate experience.

More about Phototeva

Whether coming face-to-face with a polar bear, or conversing with
Sumo wrestlers in Japan, we specialize in exclusive experiences.

We understand that the world of travel has changed. The internet has
opened up many self-reservation options, so we decided not to compete
with “classic” tours, but rather to offer unique experiences – once-in-a-
lifetime adventures that would be difficult (or even impossible) to have on
one’s own or even on other tours: leasing entire ships, in the North and
South Poles, exclusively for our travelers. Hiring helicopters for
photographing brown bears in Siberia, obtaining special permits (such as
those given to BBC or National Geographic teams), restricted entry to
private reserves, and much more.

We have no interest in being a travel “supermarket”, as we are unwilling to
churn out an assembly line of tours, and, first and foremost, we will not
compromise the quality of a trip in order to save a few shekels or make
a few dollars.

We understand the significance of having fewer participants, as this allows for personalized counselling and optimal guidance. That is why we insist on it. In addition, our small groups enable us to spend more time in the field with the wildlife.

We select the best service providers at each destination, such as those
who specialize in the territory or the animals we wish to encounter.
We always prefer to work with green providers who are aware of the importance of preserving the environment.

Our team, from the guides to the administrative personnel, are all expert travelers who have seen the world and want to spread their boundless love for travel, adventure and the incredible natural world that surrounds us.
Today, anyone can call themselves a “tour operator” since no training, license, or experience is required by law. It is therefore of the utmost importance to choose an experienced travel company with years of activity under its belt, as expressed by the number of travelers, types of tour, destinations, quality of guidance, and most importantly – high satisfaction ratings and large numbers of returning travelers.
